Buongiorno (good day) from Italy. This week was our last week of regular classes with a study weekend to prepare for finals. On Monday we wrapped up our in-classroom classes with a course wrap up for Benedict and Search for Happiness. We then finished given our Italian presentations. We had lunch at Il Pozzo before heading back to campus to work on some extra credit for art history. Had supper at Gustos and closed out our last normal Monday on the Rome Campus. Tuesday was our last on-site history class. We had class in the EUR neighborhood where we discussed Mussolini and fascism in Rome and Italy. Headed back to campus to do some homework. For supper the majority of the students went to Abbey Theater, our typical Tuesday destination, where we enjoyed good food, drinks, and company. Wednesday was our last art history class at Saint Peter’s Basilica. We got there a few minutes early and got to enjoy all of the Christmas decorations before heading inside. We learned all about the art and architecture with Dr. Lev and before we knew it our on-site portion of art history was over. We went back to campus for pizza, and I studied before Convivium.

Thursday was the start of the study weekend. I slept in and then sat in the campus library to work on final essays. I was able to finish three essays before eating leftovers for dinner. I then watched some Netflix to relax before bed. On Friday, a small group of us headed into town and got a late breakfast at Homebaked. We then headed further into town in search of the Christmas market. We walked around the market and other shops looking for last minute gifts before heading back to campus to relax for the rest of the day. Saturday was another study day with me taking one of my online finals and finishing another paper. I started to pack up some of my stuff before heading to bed. On Sunday I started studying for the art history test and met for a group project. That night we had a student life program where we watched Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs with the residence directors kid.

Ciao, Ann
